National Margarita Day Deserved Its Own Movie

To celebrate National Margarita Day, Chili’s and Lifetime teamed up for the original mini-movie I’ll Be Home for National Margarita Day, a 15-minute, holiday-tinged parody of love, family, and betrayal… with a twist of lime. We cut the trailer and the film.

Starring Maria Menounos and Taye Diggs, the heartwarming co-brand stirred up major buzz across press and social. The media and fans couldn’t get enough of this perfectly shaken mix of heartfelt drama and branded fun.

The film premiered on Lifetime and then streamed on Lifetime’s app, YouTube, and VOD platforms, garnering hounders of thousands of views.

According to The Sun, Chili’s became the top-selling margarita chain in the U.S., driven in part by this viral promotional crossover.
