To launch Tokyo Vice, Michael Mann’s gripping HBO Max series, we crafted a trailer as sharp and seductive as the show itself.

Based on journalist Jake Adelstein’s real-life descent into the neon-soaked underworld of late ’90s Tokyo, the series follows his pursuit of truth inside a labyrinth of crime syndicates, corrupt officials, and moral gray zones.

Our editorial approach echoed Mann’s signature style, cinematic tension, evocative music, and immersive pacing, cutting a trailer that felt as visceral as the world it revealed.

The result: 2.7 million views within three days, and featured coverage in Variety, Deadline, EW, IndieWire, and Promax, which named it a “Hot Spot.”
