Dubbed the “Happy Slam”, the Australian Open blends fierce competition with Australia’s unmistakable spirit. Mr Wonderful channeled that energy into a high-impact promo campaign for ESPN, crafting dynamic player animations, bold title treatments, and playful motion graphics that elevate and energize the match footage.

ESPN’s “Hits Different” campaign helped deliver record-breaking Australian Open viewership, up 29% year over year and surging 61% among fans aged 18-34 — the network’s most-watched tournament since 2020. With 260+ hours of wall-to-wall coverage across ESPN platforms, engagement soared, capped by a men’s final that drew 57% more viewers than the year before. From opening serve to championship point, the work didn’t just support the coverage — it helped drive its biggest audience yet.
