Jimmie Johnson Shifts Gears in NBC’s IndyCar Kickoff
To help launch the new season of the IndyCar Series on NBC, Carvana partnered with 7-time NASCAR Champion Jimmie Johnson as he transitioned to IndyCar racing. NBC turned to us to conceptualize and produce a pair of high-impact promos: a :15 commercial lead-in and a :06 teaser for social.
The hero spot puts a twist on Carvana’s iconic vending machine, activated by a flipping token and brought to life through dynamic motion design and 3D animation. But instead of dispensing a family car, the machine selects Johnson’s IndyCar #48, marking his bold move into open-wheel racing.
Shorter versions introduced the Carvana-sponsored IndyCar to viewers online, teasing the new partnership and building excitement for the season ahead.
