Sailing Smooth with HBO’s Yacht Rock:

HBO invited us to dive into the smooth, sun-soaked world of Toto, Michael McDonald, and Steely Dan to promote Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary, part of their Music Box series created by Bill Simmons.

We cut a stylish, self-aware trailer that celebrated the genre’s easy-listening roots and modern cult appeal. Blending licensed tracks, scored elements, and custom composition, the piece honored yacht rock’s legacy while embracing its ironic, nostalgic revival.

The result? A spotlight in Rolling Stone and a trailer as smooth as the music itself.
